Through the lens of PEOPLE’s trusted journalists, each hour-long episode takes viewers to the heart of the crime and is interlaced with archival footage, dramatic recreations and emotional interviews with those closest to the cases. With new facts and emotional firsthand accounts, each episode takes viewers to the epicenter of the crime, as PEOPLE’s renowned journalists divulge the shocking twists and surprising facts they learned while doggedly investigating each case.
Elaine Aradillas is a Staff Writer at PEOPLE magazine where she covers crime and breaking news. She has traveled across the country reporting on some of the biggest stories, such as the Dark Knight shooting in Aurora, Colo.; the escape of three Cleveland girls who were held captive for more than a decade; and frequently writes about missing children, sexual assault survivors and cold cases.
She has appeared on Good Morning America, Dateline and Crime & Justice with Ashleigh Banfield among others. She has been published in the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. She has worked at the Orlando Sentinel and the San Antonio Express-News. She earned her BA in Art from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She currently lives in New York City, but has been known to fly home to San Antonio for a decent Tex-Mex meal.
