Credited for helping to modernize the Western genre when it premiered in 2011, the top-rated AMC mainstay, HELL ON WHEELS, is currently in its fifth and final season. In the first seven episodes being aired in 2015, the rough and tumble drama delves into the conflicts between the Central Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads, as they race toward completion. Starring Anson Mount and Colm Meaney, HELL ON WHEELS examines the institutionalized greed and corruption behind the building of America’s Transcontinental Railroad.

When it premiered in 2011, HELL ON WHEELS was credited for helping to modernize the Western genre. The series tells the story of post-Civil War America and of Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount), a soldier who sets out to exact revenge on the Union soldiers who have killed his wife.

Seven new episodes air this summer, and the final seven following in 2016. Each episode will be available for purchase on leading digital platforms the day after it premieres.

Anson Mount is best know for playing Cullen Bohannon in HELL ON WHEELS and for his starring role in the short-lived series Conviction. His film credits include In Her Shoes, Straw Dogs, Supremacy and Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden.

Colm Meaney is an Irish actor widely known for playing Miles O’Brien in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He has had a significant career in film, including The Damned United and all three adaptations of Roddy Doyle’s The Barrytown Trilogy as well as Get Him to the Greek.
