The Critically-Acclaimed Time-Travel Thriller 12 Monkeys is Back for Another Season! Premiering Monday April 18th at 9PM ET/PT on Syfy Ric Catches Up with Series Stars… Aaron Stanford & Amanda Schull

12 Monkeys is based on the 1995 film of the same name. It follows the journey of James Cole (Stanford), a man from 2043 sent back in time to stop a malevolent organization known as the Army of the 12 Monkeys from destroying the world. Joining forces with Dr. Cassandra Railly (Schull) here in the present day, Cole must untangle an insidious conspiracy that’s been spun throughout centuries. As Cole, Dr. Railly and their unlikely allies get closer to discovering the truth, they will learn that there are not only deadly consequences for mankind… but time itself. Season two features several acclaimed guest stars including Madeleine Stowe (star of the 12 Monkeys film), Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica) and Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey), among others.

Aaron Stanford received critical acclaim for his feature film debut in Tadpole opposite Sigourney Weaver and Bebe Neuwirth. Other known credits include Woody Allen’s Hollywood Ending and Spike Lee’s 25th Hour as well as X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand as Pyro and Alexandre Aja’s remake of Wes Craven’s thriller The Hills Have Eyes. On television his credits include starring opposite Shane West and Maggie Q in Nikita for four seasons.

A former professional ballet dancer, Amanda Schull was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, she made her motion picture debut in Sony Picture’s Center Stage, directed by Nicholas Hytner. Following Center Stage, she danced with the San Francisco Ballet for several years before returning to acting with recurring roles on the CW’s One Tree Hill, the ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars and the USA Network drama, Suits.
