Russell T. Davies launched the hit reboot of Doctor Who and created the groundbreaking Queer as Folk. Now he introduces his latest original series Cucumber and Banana on Logo TV premiering Monday April 13th at 10pm ET/9CT Screenwriter and television producer Russell T. Davies is best known for reinventing the cult sci-fi series Doctor Who in 2005 after a 16-year hiatus, and making the series a triumphant mainstream success for a brand new audience. Before that, he created the landmark, critically acclaimed drama Queer As Folk, which helped pave the way for gay characters on television such as HBO’s Looking and Fox’s Glee among many others. Now, this TV powerhouse returns with his two most ambitious series to date: Cucumber and Banana premiering April 13 on Logo TV. In a television first, the two dramas are interlinked, featuring parallel stories and characters in two different generations. Cucumber explores the misadventures of Henry Best and his long-suffering boyfriend, Lance Sullivan. Banana follows the individual lives of younger characters in Henry’s world, telling stories of modern love in Manchester, England. https://thepub.viacom.com/sites/logopress/Pages/Cucumber-and-Banana-announcement.aspx
