An authentic portrayal of what it means to be a member of SEAL Team Six, a true brotherhood, the best at what they do. Ric talk with one of the stars of the series, actor, Barry Sloane.
In HISTORY’s new scripted series SIX, Barry Sloane stars as Joe “Bear” Graves, a troubled youth from a troubled family in Pennsylvania mining country. Graves relies on three pillars to give him focus, direction, and ultimately salvation: his SEAL brotherhood, his faith, and his wife, Lena. Mentally tough, stubborn, and most of all prepared, being a SEAL gives Graves structure and purpose.
Inspired by real missions, SIX authentically captures the inside world of America’s elite Special Operations unit – what these SEALs do, their personal lives, combat and the life-and-death decisions they make to protect and serve their country. The eight-episode first season follows members of Navy SEAL Team Six, whose covert mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with terrorists.
Born and raised in Liverpool, England, Barry Sloane may best be known for his role as Aiden Mathis on ABC’s Revenge. He also starred in the drama The Whispers from Steven Spielberg. He has worked extensively on television in the UK, on stage, and appeared in movies such as Penthouse North and Chad.
