Featured prominently in the series, Vietnam veteran John Ligato (U.S. Marine Corps) and Iraq War vet Perfecto Sanchez (U.S. Army) provide a rare, first hand glimpse into the major world-shaping events most of us only read about or watch on the news.
Against the Odds showcases awe-inspiring true stories of how a real-life band of brothers came together with courage, sacrifice, and strength to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. The series is narrated by actor Rob Lowe and airs on the former Military Channel, now the American Heroes Channel (AHC). Veterans who engaged in combat and survived to tell will relive battles from WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq. These include WWII’s battles of Okinawa, the Bulge, and Tarawa; the Battle of Chosin Reservoir from the Korean War; and the Battle of Ramadi from the Iraq War.
