Dora sets off on her next big adventure in Dora and Friends: Into the City!, a brand-new animated preschool series starring the Latina heroine in new adventures, with new friends and a new interactive curriculum. The series features Dora living in a city, attending school and at the center of a peer group that works together to give back to the community. Developed with the support of educational experts and tested by preschoolers themselves, Dora and Friends is set to a contemporary soundtrack of Latin-influenced pop music and features an interactive curriculum focusing on community service, problem solving, emotional skills, Spanish language and Latino culture.
Fátima Ptacek, 13, is the voice of Dora in Dora and Friends: Into the City! and the Emmy Award-winning series Dora the Explorer. She has been the voice of Dora since 2010 and she received NAACP Award and Imagen Award nominations for her work. She is also known for her lead role in the Academy Award-winning 2012 short film Curfew.
Ptacek is an accomplished fashion model who has graced magazine covers and billboards around the world and has experienced walking the runway at such venues as New York’s annual Fashion Week. She is also committed to philanthropic endeavors and works to promote literacy through various organizations. Ptacek is a competitive gymnast and an accomplished equestrian. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is also studying Mandarin Chinese.
