Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders:
Perfect Kicks & Flicks, Poise & Etiquette…
Plus a Demanding Written Test Covering Football and Current Events.
Landing a Coveted Spot on the Elite Cheerleading Squad is Tough.
Hundreds of hopefuls line up for preliminary auditions but only a few dozen will make the squad. CMT’s long-running Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team returns for its 11th season to follow the new group of hopefuls competing to fulfill their dream. This season is shaping up to be the ‘comeback season’ with more former DCC veterans re-audtioning than usual. The DCC are known for their signature kick line and even if they have perfect dancing skills, they won’t make the team if they can’t get the kicks. Candidates also have to take a written test with close to 80 questions about the history of the football team and current events, and face a panel interview where they are judged on poise and etiquette.
Melissa Rycroft returns to mentor the new recruits, while Kellie Pickler makes a surprise visit to Training Camp to learn some moves and share insight into how she handles being in the spotlight while fellow Texan and Grammy Award®-winner Kacey Musgraves will also stop by to talk to the girls about staying true to themselves. This season features a professional Japanese cheerleader who will battle a language barrier, a single mother who wants to prove to her six year old daughter that it’s never too late to follow your dreams, as well as a number of girls who finally make it into training camp after years of unsuccessful tryouts.
