Their groundbreaking, live-action fantasy shows — including Land of the Lost, Sigmund & the Sea Monsters, H.R. Pufnstuf, Far Out Space Nuts and The Bugaloos — were staples of children’s Saturday morning or after-school viewing habits. The Kroffts were also behind some of the most popular primetime variety shows such as The Donny & Marie Show, The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, and Barbara Mandrell & the Mandrell Sisters. Now the Kroffts are back with their their first kids’ program in more than 20 years, Mutt & Stuff, on Nickelodeon. Set in a unique school for dogs, the series stars Calvin Millan and his dad, Cesar, (Cesar 911, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan) who interact with a cast of both real dogs and puppets. In addition to adorable puppies and unbelievable dog tricks, the series balances moments of heart and comedy and helps preschoolers identify and manage emotions, build interpersonal awareness and develop social skills.
