JP Morgan, Home Depot, eBay, Goodwill, and even the IRS have experienced data breaches this year. Those are just five of the 636 data breaches that occurred thus far in 2014, a 30% increase over last year according to the Identity Theft Research Center. Despite this, consumers plan to increase their online holiday shopping this year due to time and convenience, according to a recent survey by Lifelock.
