To this day, Gilligan’s Island — which originally ran for three seasons and spawned three TV movies — remains one of the most enduringly popular classic comedies and a pop culture icon. And as the simple farm girl from Kansas, “Mary Ann,” Dawn Wells won over the hearts of TV viewers across the country.
Today, Dawn Wells is the ambassador for MeTV, America’s #1 classic TV network, where she’ll also host The Summer of Me, MeTV’s annual programming event. To celebrate, Gilligan’s Island joins MeTV’s weeknight comedy lineup at 9:30pm ET/PT, and viewers will find Dawn featured in special appearances all around the network.
