Acclaimed actor Jamie Hector from The Wire and now starring in the Amazon series Bosch

Acclaimed actor Jamie Hector (The Wire) returns in Amazon’s first hour-long drama series, Bosch, available for streaming on Amazon Prime Instant Video beginning February 13th

Based on the internationally best-selling book series by Michael Connelly

Following its two Golden GlobeĀ® victories for Transparent, Amazon introduces its first original drama series Bosch, based on the wildly popular Harry Bosch books by Michael Connelly. The series follows a relentless LAPD homicide detective as he pursues the killer of a 13-year-old boy while standing trial on accusations that he murdered a suspected killer in cold blood.

The show stars New York actor Jamie Hector as Detective Jerry Edgar. Variety praised Jamie as “one of TV’s most terrifying villains” for his searing performance as Marlo Stanfield in The Wire. He took on another memorable “bad guy” role in NBC’s Heroes as Benjamin “Knox” Washington, a criminal with the ability to convert others’ fears into his own incredible strength. He also plays gang leader Alonso Creem on the new FX vampire sci-fi hit series The Strain.

Jamie is the founder of Moving Mountains, a non-profit NYC theater organization, which allows inner-city youth to study the arts and develop their talents in a safe, creative environment. Jamie has been honored many times for his dedication to youth and providing resources and assistance to young aspiring artists.
