League of Legends is The Most-Played PC Game in the World with Millions of Players Worldwide. Ric Catches up with NBA Star-Turned-Esports Enthusiast and Team ‘Echo Fox’ Owner Rick Fox, and Chris “Chopper” Hopper, Head of North American Esports.

The 2018 League of Legends World Championship heads to South Korea with 24 teams from the 14 professional leagues from around the world competing, beginning in Seoul on October 1st. The finals will take place at Incheon Munhak stadium on November 3rd. Last year, 57.6 million unique viewers watched the 2017 League of Legends World Championship from a packed Beijing National Stadium in China.

League of Legends is the most-played PC game in the world, with over 100 million monthly active players and draws players and fans from across the globe. League of Legends Esports (LoL Esports) is a premiere global sport with 14 professional leagues worldwide. The regional leagues are overseen and operated by Riot Games.

Former Los Angeles Laker captain Rick Fox is a three-time NBC champion and early investor in Esports. He is also a respected TV and film actor, as well as a producer and analyst for NBA TV.

As Head of North American Esports, Chris Hopper oversees the operation of the North American League of Legends Championship Series. He’s also on the esports episode of Explained on Netflix.
