Jason Blum is the twisted mind behind some of the most terrifying film series in horror history — including Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and The Purge to name just a few. Last year, he was responsible for the chilling reality series/psychological experiment Stranded that left real people alone in nation’s most notorious haunted houses.
Next up, Jason introduces Ascension, a hugely ambitious six-hour television event on Syfy. Ascension follows a covert U.S. space mission launched in the 1960’s that sent hundreds of men, women and children on a century-long voyage to populate a new world. Half way into their journey, the mysterious murder of a young woman causes the ship’s population to question the true nature of their mission.
