Canadian fashion model Kate Bock has appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from 2013 to 2016, being voted “Rookie of the Year” in her first appearance. A former Victoria’s Secret model, the 5’11” Vancouver beauty has also been featured in the pages of Elle and Maxim magazines. Although Kate was first discovered at a local swimming pool, aspiring models now have a chance at superstardom by entering the 2016 Elite Model Search.
Elite — the agency that created the supermodel and represented household names such as Linda Evangelista, Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford and Heidi Klum — is hosting a nationwide search for the next Elite model. Those wishing to enter can submit a video submission to Indi.com/elite. Five finalists will be selected to stay in the Elite Model’s Town House in New York where they’ll receive the star treatment, and one winner (to be announced on Extra TV on Aug. 31) will receive a one-year contract with Elite North America.
Kate Bock shares more details about the campaign, and offers some insights about a model’s life, both pros and cons. Kate discusses how her life has changed since becoming a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and the type of feedback she receives on social media from admirers.
